Qatari Museum of Islamic Art

October, 2014

In mid October 2014 I had the opportunity to visit the very much amazable Qatari Museum of Islamic Art. Having had enormous expectations, I was sort of postponing this visit for a while, even though I felt the eyes of MIA—the two eye-shaped windows at the very top of that beaut—on me every time I passed by heading to the nearby Souq Waqif. Designed by Ieoh Ming Pei, it’s a state of the art architectural piece located just on the shore of Doha Bay of Persian Gulf. What follows here is a selection of photos from MIA taken sometime in early October 2014. You’ll notice some grain, vignetting, cooler & less vibrant colours and even more clarity treatments applied on the following photos. Love it or not, do have your say—I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
